Scout's Preview - Colony at Los Osos

Scout's Preview - Colony at Los Osos
Kickoff: 7:00 P.M.

What a way to start the season on a Thursday night with a game that will be watched by scouts - like myself - very closely.

Let's take a look at the prospects that colleges will be taking a look at when the get the gametape....

Colony

Kenneth Scott (Sr. 6'3 1/2, 194, 4.69HT) -- This was a player that was highly rated early in the recruiting but lost a bit of luster because other guys were just getting better. This is a possession receiver in every sense of the word. He projected to being an inside receiver at college. One thing about him, he is football fast. Finds a way to get open and has good hand-eye skills. Lots to like about him and he is a verbal commit to Utah.

Jared Bell (Sr. 6'0, 170, 4.66HT) -- Questions about his speed has haunted his recruiting process. Ran track this past spring and did fairly well in the hurdles. More of a zone corner rather than a press-corner, sleek body that needs to be a in college weight room in more ways that one. He sports an offer from Colorado and could see his stock rise with a big effort tonight.

Edward Todd (Sr, 5'11, 228, 5.00) -- Love this kid's athletism. He doesn't look the part on the hoof, but when you pop in the game tape, your quickly impressed. Didn't help any when he ran a below average 40 yard dash, but we like the kid and have labeled him a senior evaluation prospect. One to follow.

Eric Alt (Sr, 6-5, 334, 6.15) -- The one thing about this kid is that he is big. The downside for this kid is that he is big. He looks the part on the hoof, but his gametape comes up very lacking. He doesn't get off the ball very well and moves in below average fashion. This is a kick that is in need of junior college football in a hurry.

Los Osos

Tony Washington (Sr, DE, 6-4, 218, 5.10e) -- You talk about a kid that has made a nice rise on recruiting boards, this is the guy. He just got an offer from Oregon and UCLA is rumored to be going to the game to take a look at this kid tonight, A tall slender bodied kid that has very long arms a great get-off. He is matched up against Alt tonight, that should be the worth the price of admission. Interested to see how is plays in the wake of the untimely death of his father. More than on solid ground with us.

Blake Loncar (Sr, QB, 6-4, 207, 5.12HT) -- The start of the post Richard Brehaut era starts tonight with this guy under center. Real husky built kid with fair speed, he needs to use this game as a springboard to bigger and better things. Coaching staff just loves him. He will be under the radar big time tonight.

Other Los Osos Prospects to watch

Sean Alston (Sr, WR, 5'10, 175)
B.J. Sonboli (Sr., OL, 6'3, 299)
Kalien Wright (Sr.,S, 5-10, 170e)
Will Harris (Sr, OG, 6'3 240e)
Nick Martin, (Sr, ORT, 6-4, 270e, transfer from Alta Loma)

Enjoy the game.
